PaGAGnini is anything but just a concert. The musicians play, dance, jump, laugh, cry, interact with the audience, converting the show into an original comedy where the violin and the cello transform themselves spontaneously into new and original instruments (guitars, mandolins, percussions…).

Deep in the jungle, some intrepid and crazy explorers face a very silly adventure. Their mission is to capture an exotic animal that is going extinct for the ZOO of a large city.
The wacky antics of the protagonists lead into a visually stunning adventure in which the apparently idyllic surroundings become a trap crawling with strange animals. Birds, mammals, reptiles and insects soon make life impossible for the heroes of the expedition.

IIn 2011 Yllana is 20 years old and hasn’t let out a peep about it. In 1991 a group of young enthusiasts got a theatre project up and running which we could never have imagined even in our wildest dreams to take us this far. This can largely be put down to Muu, our first show.
Muu is a satire about the world of bullfighting, the sense of honor, the macho posturing, the bravery, the motherland, the national festival and animal cruelty… And all those sacred, indomitable values involved in a rite which, well into the 21st century, pits man against beast in the manner of the Roman circus. Twenty years after its premier the controversy surrounding bullfighting rages on stronger than ever.
In the show the distinguishing features of company can already be seen in embryonic form: the awareness of comedy, the sense of rhythm, the use of sound as an extra character, it’s very direct style, the roguish attitude of its production, the make-up of the characters… The show soon became an unexpected success.
This is how we discovered the universality of our humor. Something that began as a local phenomenon soon brought us recognition inside and outside our borders. We started a world tour at the invitation of the most prestigious international humor festivals like Just for laughs in Canada, the Edinburgh Fringe, the Festival of Arts of Istanbul and the Festival Printemps des Courges de Toulouse where the show was awarded the Courge D’Or.
Today we would like to revisit Muu to recover the essence of this company and the pleasure of reliving, without nostalgia, that lively spirit which drove us to create. But also, to share with the public which discovered Yllana in 666, PaGAGnini, Zoo or Brokers the principles on which our humor is based, with a revised, updated version in which, twenty years down the line, the experience is summarized with a lively, renewed approach in constant evolution.

With this new show Yllana pays tribute to the Western movies that stimulated and encouraged our imagination making us play a lot. And at the same time Yllana honors its heroes, peasants, borders and those men who dared to challenge it.
The show hefs is a funny way to see the fascinating world of gastronomy. The story is focused on a very prestigious chef who has lost his inspiration and has to trust a goofy team of cooks to create a spectacular and innovating recipe to maintain the stars of his restaurant.
At the same time Yllana is travelling through different stages of the cooking world, such as our natural instinct to eat, animals that feed us, different cuisines and tastes all over the world. We will see the chefs’ egos, the competition between the “best chefs” and, in general, everything that can be cooked in Yllana’s hilarious pot.

Maestrissimo is an «allegro e molto vivace» show, which comes halfway between a chamber concert, satirical comedy, and a portrayal of the times. What would happen if a street dog could suddenly talk like we do? And if this dog had an astonishing story that he wanted to share with us? Would you stop to listen to him or would you express that so-typically human disdain of those who believe animals don’t have anything to say? If you’re in the first group, then the time is long overdue for you to come and see us. If not, a tip: do us a favour and don’t be so sapiens. Sometimes a dog – if he’s lived a lot – can tell you things you can’t even begin to imagine. Because, despite what you may think, dogs too have their dog days when it doesn’t rain but it pours.
This project came to life at the request of Veranos de la Villa and is being created for the festival.
The famous orchestra director Josef Von Ramik, known for his bipolar personality, agrees to direct the prestigious Royal Orchestra, renowned for its unconventional frame of mind and exquisite execution. Together, they will perform a repertoire of the great classics from the history of classical music. But he’s not the only one invited. To mix things up a bit more for the evening, the world-famous orchestra leader and violinist Gaspar Krause will also be invited, notorious for his enormous and intolerable ego.
The stage will soon become a battlefield, in a power struggle to see who’s most excellent of them all, which will lead to hilarious and unpredictable consequences. But one thing is clear: this will be a concert to remember.

Passport is the story of 4 comedian on tour in a country called Komedistan. They will cope with problems when going through costums entering the country, language issues at a restaurant and an horrible hotel where they have to sleep before and after their perfomance. It’s like an overview of the whole experience of working abroad. Passport is a tribute to the artists’ life when they cross borders with the main goal to make people laugh wherever they are. Breathtaking humour with no words for everyone!

Familiar to all the characters – and Alice, and the Hatter, and Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat, and the Black Queen – will appear before the audience in his circus incarnation, against the backdrop of impressive 3D-scenery, with amazing music. The story of Alice is supplemented with a love line – the girl falls in love with a fairy-tale prince, and for the sake of love both heroes have to overcome unimaginable trials.
Following Alice, viewers are immersed in a wonderful world where everything and every imagination is possible materializes as if by magic. From this fabulous journey is breathtaking, and behind each turn of the plot of the viewer a new meeting expects – with more and more eccentric and unpredictable characters. An extraordinary Ballet Flamenco Español event. Spanish artists bring an explosive show based on combining traditional flamenco elements with modern ones in a complex music and dance performance.
The show is structured in treiparti, each having the role of representing another side of Spanish dance.
The first part is called “Bolero” and represents an outcry between classical Spanish dance and flamenco. A style studied in detail, where force, rhythm changes and light play predominate.
The second part is called Mozart’s Zapate. This one is performed by one or two soloists who play the richness of musical accents, against the times and syncopes specific to an atmosphere of sound.
The last part of the show is called Flamenco in Live. Choreography is inspired by the unrelated union of flamenco. On the one hand, there are elements of aesthetic nature, and on the other hand expressive elements. They have the power to convey the pure essence of flamenco dance. In this part of the show will be presented moments in which the vivacity and the rhythm are prevailing, as well as the harmonious blending of the traditional elements with the modern elements.
Il Ballet Flamenco Español è un evento straordinario. Gli artisti spagnoli portano in scena un esplosivo spettacolo basato su una meravigliosa combinazione tra elementi tradizionali del flamenco ed elementi moderni, con un risultato composto da musica estremamente raffinata e incredibili performance di danza.
Lo spettacolo è strutturato in tre parti, ognuna delle quali rappresenta un aspetto diverso della danza spagnola.
La prima parte, “Bolero”, è un connubio tra la danza classica spagnola e il flamenco, dove forza, ritmo e giochi di luce sono amalgamati e studiati fino ai minimi dettagli.
La seconda parte è “Zapateado a Mozart”. Questo è eseguito da uno o due solisti che, su una ricca tavolozza di accenti musicali, contrattempi e sincopi, creano un’atmosfera musicale unica.
L’ultima parte dello spettacolo è “Flamenco Live”. La coreografia, ispirata anch’essa dal multiforme flamenco, unisce a elementi di natura estetica una forte espressività, in un continuo alternarsi di elementi tradizionali e moderni.

Russian Folk Dance Company since 1948. The world famous State academic choreographic ensemble «Beryozka» («The Birch») was founded in 1948 by one of the most outstanding choreographers of the 20th century — Nadezhda Nadezhdina. Being a person of the highest culture and erudition, she knew well, what riches are concealed in the creativity of the Russian people, and perceived it like a poet.
In her creations Nadezhda Sergeyevna imparted poetry of an ancient round dance to the classical dance, connecting the past to the present. The maiden round dance, composed by her to the sound of the Russian national song «Vo pole beryozka stoyala» («In the field the Birch stood») has been bewitching the audience by the exotic, «floating» step, making an impression that girls stand still, and the scene under them rotates, for nearly 70 years. In the face of the viewer the whole birchwood suddenly comes to life and appears in solemnly stately parade. Soon the well-known round dance gave the name to the ensemble, in which Nadezhda Nadezhdina made her dream come true — devoted herself to creation her own scenic works on a national basis.
Subsequently the brand step was used in many round dances of the ensemble. According to the press, during the years of concert activities of «Beryozka», dancers of the ensemble has walked the distance exceeding the equator length with the «floating» step.

L’ensemble coreografico statale di fama mondiale «Beryozka» («La betulla») è stato fondato nel 1948 da Nadezhda Nadezhdina Sergeyevna, una delle più importanti coreografe del XX secolo, che nella sua altissima cultura conosceva tutte le ricchezze celate nella creatività del popolo russo.
Nelle sue creazioni Nadezhda ha unito la poesia dell’antica danza circolare alla danza classica, collegando il passato al presente. Il primo round dance, composto da lei al suono della canzone nazionale russa «Vo pole beryozka stoyala» («Nel campo in cui si trovava la betulla») ha stregato il pubblico con il suo fluttuante passo esotico, dando l’impressione che le ragazze stiano ferme e la scena sotto di loro ruoti. Di fronte allo spettatore l’intero bosco di betulle prende improvvisamente vita e appare in una sfilata solennemente maestosa. Ben presto il noto ballo circolare ha dato il nome al gruppo, in cui Nadezhda Nadezhdina ha realizzato il suo sogno: la creazione delle proprie coreografie su musiche nazionali.
Secondo la stampa, durante gli anni di attività concertistica di «Beryozka», i ballerini dell’ensemble hanno percorso con il loro passo fluttuante una distanza superiore alla lunghezza dell’equatore.

The very word Cossack in Russian means ‘free man.’ In the early czarist times they staged revolts of the masses against the oppressive orders; they staged uprisings of serfs and workers against the injustices of the ruling classes. They had heroes, and they wanted to be free. Our songs and dances reflect all this.
It was more than 50 years ago – in 1936 – that the Don Cossacks Company was founded in Rostov, the southern port and rail hub on the Don River, one of the four largest rivers in the Soviet Union. Its aim was to preserve the rich and colorful folklore of the Cossack people, who, out of some 180 different Soviet ethnic groups, have a strong tradition of expressing themselves in song and dance.
The men, in particular, have strong, vibrant voices; many Russian choirs have a large complement of Cossacks in their ranks. It is said that the dances of the Don River region sprang directly out of the Cossack songs commemorating famous battles and the rebellions of folk heroes, as well as the more peaceful side of Cossack life – songs dealing with family, the beauty of nature, the joys of love.
Cossack dances range from the elegant to the athletic, from the lyrically romantic to the flirtatious and droll. The basic Cossack dance is the kazatchok, which begins slowly and ends fast and furious. There is the exhilarating hopak, with its leg-stretching and high jumps, and the khorovod, the Russian form of a round dance. In the Don Cossack company, it is the men who execute the high-jumping, wildly energetic dances, while the women negotiate the more lyrical numbers.

La parola cosacco, in russo, significa “uomo libero”. Nei primi tempi degli zaristi essi organizzarono rivolte delle masse contro gli ordini oppressivi e contro le ingiustizie delle classi dominanti. Avevano degli eroi e volevano essere liberi. Le canzoni e le danze di questa compagnia riflettono tutto questo.
Nel 1936 la Compagnia dei Cosacchi del Don fu fondata a Rostov, porto meridionale e centro di interscambio ferroviario sul fiume Don, uno dei quattro fiumi più grandi dell’Unione Sovietica. Il suo scopo era quello di preservare il folclore ricco e colorato dei cosacchi che, su circa 180 diversi gruppi etnici sovietici, hanno una ricca tradizione di canti e danze.
Gli uomini, in particolare, hanno voci forti e vibranti, infatti molti cori russi hanno tra le loro fila componenti cosacchi. Si dice che le danze della regione del Don siano uscite direttamente dalle canzoni dei cosacchi per commemorare le famose battaglie e le ribellioni degli eroi popolari, così come il lato più pacifico della vita dei cosacchi: canzoni che parlano di famiglia, di bellezza della natura, di gioie d’amore.
Le danze cosacche spaziano dal gesto elegante a quello atletico, dallo spirito romantico a quello civettuolo e a quello buffo. La danza di base dei cosacchi è il kazatchok, che inizia lentamente e per finire veloce e furioso. C’è l’esaltante hopak, con le sue gambe che si allungano e i suoi alti salti, e il khorovod, la forma russa di danza circolare. Nella compagnia del Don Cossack, sono gli uomini che eseguono i balli più sfrenati ed energici, mentre le donne realizzano i numeri più lirici.

The second show is the “Gzhel Theater Dance Show”, an exciting musical trip to various corners of Russia through lyrical circle dances and images of traditional folk crafts. This tremendous choreographic production showcases the richness and diversity of traditional cultures of various peoples living in Russia. One dance show will include all major Russian folk crafts: Gzhel porcelain, Palekh lacquer miniatures, Khokhloma wooden wares’ painting, Skan’ ligree. Brightly colored costumes will emphasize the unique features of the country’s identity.

Il secondo spettacolo è il “Gzhel Theatre Dance Show”, un emozionante viaggio musicale in vari angoli della Russia attraverso balli e immagini di artigianato popolare tradizionale. Questa enorme produzione coreografica mette in mostra la ricchezza e la diversità delle culture tradizionali delle varie popolazioni che vivono in Russia. Uno spettacolo di danza includerà tutti i principali mestieri popolari russi: porcellana Gzhel, miniature di lacca Palekh, pittura di Khokhloma in legno, Skan’ ligree. I costumi dai colori vivaci enfatizzano le caratteristiche uniche dell’identità del paese.
The State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Moldova “Jock” takes its name from the Moldovan folk dance. The ensemble was established on August 23, 1945 in Chisinau by choreographers L. Leonardi and L. Zeltsman. Since 1957, Vladimir Kurbet (People’s Artist of the USSR) is the artistic director, is the first master of ballet art, the artistic director of the ensemble of folk dance “Jock”. Currently, the team employs 65 dancers and 25 musicians.
In the repertoire of the ensemble there are various folklore dances, which show rituals, traditions and national costumes of the Moldovan people. These are such traditional dances as “Moldovenyaska”, “Bryul”, “Tserenyaska”, “Betuta”, “Kalushary”, “Hora”, “Kreicel”, “Hangul”, “Merunzika”, “Rezeshska” and others. More the ensemble created a number of choreographic paintings and suites: “Jock”, “Nunta Moldoveneasca”, “Kotovtsy”, “Carpathians”, “Likuy, Moldova”, “Legend of Martisor”, “On the road to Chisinau” and many others . The repertoire of the ensemble is not limited only by national folklore motifs, in “Jock” are performed dances of peoples of other countries of the world.
Over the years of its existence the ensemble of folk dance has given more than seven thousand concerts.
The ensemble “Jock” took part in many international Festivals, was awarded with diplomas, medals and diplomas. “Jock” has toured in many countries of the world: Romania, Russia, Czech Republic, France, Belgium, Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Egypt, Canada, Portugal and others. The State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble “Jock” was awarded the title of Meritorious Collective of the MSSR, later was awarded the Order of “Price of Republic”.

L’ensemble statale di danza popolare di Moldavia “Jock” prende il nome dalla danza popolare moldava. L’ensemble fu fondato il 23 agosto 1945 a Chisinau dai coreografi L. Leonardi e L. Zeltsman. Dal 1957, Vladimir Kurbet (Artista del Popolo dell’URSS) ne è il direttore artistico e primo maestro di ballo. Attualmente, il team impiega 65 ballerini e 25 musicisti.
Nel repertorio dell’ensemble ci sono varie danze folcloristiche, che mostrano rituali, tradizioni e costumi nazionali del popolo moldavo: “Moldovenyaska”, “Bryul”, “Tserenyaska”, “Betuta”, “Kalushary”, “Hora”, “Kreicel”, “Hangul”, “Merunzika”, “Rezeshska” e altri. L’ensemble statale di danza popolare “Jock” ha ricevuto il titolo di collettivo meritorio della MSSR, in seguito è stato insignito dell’Ordine di “Price of Republic”.
The Russian national ballet Kostroma is one of the youngest professional choreographies in the Russian Federation that represents traditional folk art. Their logo represents a dance slipper and a wooden shoe: two symbols that bring together classical dance and traditional dance: their mission for more than twenty years.
The company has reached not only the Russian public but also an international audience who discovers during the summer performances at the Grand Folk Theater of central Moscow. The company has been applauded by spectators from twenty-five countries. The best proof of their cultural mission are the rave reviews such as «brilliant choreography», «perfect technique», «high aesthetic level of the performances».
The company is composed of 50 dancers and dancers in a 100% theatrical show, a folk dance show of Greater Russia: from North to South to its distant borders.
BALLETTO NAZIONALE DI RUSSIA
Il balletto nazionale russo Kostroma è una delle più giovani compagnie coreografiche professionali della Federazione Russa che rappresenta l’arte popolare tradizionale. La missione del gruppo, da oltre vent’anni, è unire la danza classica a quella tradizionale, rappresentate nel loro logo da una scarpetta da ballo e una scarpa di legno.
La compagnia ha raggiunto non solo il pubblico russo ma anche quello internazionale, specie durante le esibizioni estive al Grand Folk Theatre del centro di Mosca. La compagnia è stata applaudita da spettatori provenienti da almeno venticinque paesi.
Tra le recensioni dello spettacolo si leggono titoli come «brillante coreografia», «tecnica perfetta», «alto livello estetico delle prestazioni».
La compagnia è composta da 50 ballerini e ballerine che si uniscono in uno spettacolo di danza popolare della Grande Russia: da nord a sud fino ai suoi confini più estremi.
