Ballet by Royal Classical Ballet
It’s not very often that you see a full-length performance intended for children’s perception. “Thumbelina,” based on the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen, is designed for viewing by the whole family. Flowers, elves, butterflies, swallows, moles, toads, and spiders appear on the stage. Bright and realistic costumes of characters depicting animals help artists embody vivid, memorable images. The scenery, which comes to life thanks to video art and animation, combined with the music of P. I. Tchaikovsky, creates an amazing atmosphere of a fairy tale and celebration.
