The action takes place in a city populated by vegetables and fruits, where senseless rules oppress the population, which, led by Chipollino, revolts
against the injustice of Prince Lemon and the local aristocracy. They get rid of it by jokes, never resorting to violence, but only thanks to solidarity between friends.
